Post Medieval-Modern pipe tamper, hand clenching scroll
Description
English: Copper alloy pipe tamper dating to the Post Medieval or Modern period. The tamper is in the shape of an arm and hand with the fist clenched around a scroll. The portrayal of the hand is quite lifelike and includes the detail of fingernails. The wrist and lower arm are plain. A series of moulded collars covers the remainder of the arm.
