English: Portishead railway station in Somerset, England. A broad gauge train is waiting at the platform. The view is to the north. The picture is often claimed to be taken in 1878 however the locomotive is carrying Bristol & Exeter Railway No. 48, the that company being taken over by the Great Western Railway in early 1876 and the locomotives subsequently renumbered.
