Français : "Malgré la longueur de son règne, Benoît XIV ne procéda qu'à une canonisation, le 29 juin 1746. Cinq nouveaux saints étaient inscrits au calendrier liturgique. Signe de sa réputation et de la faveur dont il jouissait à la cour pontificale, Subleyras reçut la commande de deux des cinq tableaux exceptionnels offerts au pape en remerciement. Il a laissé deux chefs-d'œuvre.
