English: Phantassie 'Doocot' Dovecot of the beehive type at Phantassie, East Linton. The requirement for dovcotes as a source of extra fresh food in Winter died out at the beginning of the 19th century. At this time new farming methods were developed that allowed feeding of cattle in winter.
