Norsk bokmål: 2008-07-14 Qobustan, AZ: Helleristninger av sivbåt og menn. Sivbåten minner mye om sivbåter avbildet i hulemalerier i Skandinavia, noe som fikk Thor Heyerdahl til å lansere en teori om at skandinavene kom fra området som i dag er Aserbajdsjan. I Helleristningsreservatet i Qobustan er det over 6 000 helleristninger risset inn av jeger- og sankersamfunnet som holdt til i hulene her for over 12 000 år siden. På den tiden lå Kaspihavet høyet og slo mot de nederste stenene i åsen.
English: 2008-07-14 Qobustan, Azerbaijan: Petroglyphs of a reed boat and men. The reed boat is similar to those depicted in cave paintings in Scandinavia, something that made Thor Heyerdahl to theorise that the Scandinavians came from the area that today is Azerbaijan. In the Qobustan Petroglyph Reserve there are more than 6,000 petroglyphs carved by the hunter-gatherers that lived in these caves 12,000 years ago. At that time the Caspian Sea was a lot higher and washed against the lower rocks in the hill. |
