DescriptionPe ţăranul ăsta nu-l pui la Expoziţie, Protestarea 1906 MI dec72.jpg
English: Anti-monarchy cartoon in the political newspaper Protestarea. Alexander John Cuza, the deposed Domnitor of Romania, addresses his successor, King Carol I: Pe ţăranul ăsta nu-l pui la Expoziţie? ("Why not put this peasant too in your Expo?"). The allusion is to the 1906 exhibit marking Carol's jubilee. The drawing precedes by approx. one year the large-scale Romanian peasants' revolt.
