Deutsch: Straßenschild der Paul-Langen-Straße in Holzlar. Die Straße wurde 1954 ursprünglich als Langenstraße und 1962 als Paul-Langen-Straße nach Paul Langen benannt, einem Gegner und Opfer des Nationalsozialismus. Auf dem unteren Schild steht geschrieben:
"Paul Langen, * 1893 in Köln, 1931 Hauptlehrer in Holzlar, 1943 von der Gestapo verhaftet und gefoltert, 1945 im Zuchthaus Siegburg gestorben." English: Street sign of the Paul-Langen-Straße in Holzlar, Germany. The street was named after Paul Langen, an opponent and victim of National Socialism, in 1954 (originally as Langenstraße). It was renamed to the current Paul-Langen-Straße in 1962. The lower sign reads: "Paul Langen, born 1893 in Cologne. In 1931 he became headmaster in Holzlar. In 1943 he was arrested and tortured by the Gestapo. In 1945 he died in the Siegburg penitentiary" |
