English: Fort Proctor is a pre-civil war era fort located on the edge of Lake Borgne in Louisiana. The fort was never fully constructed and sits 200 feet from the edge of the lake, protected by a constructed sea wall.
The photo was taken by a research team from Louisiana State University. The members of the team are Ursula Emery McClure, Bradley Cantrell, Michele Barbato, and Bogdan Oporowski. The final image was stitched from 22 photographs taken with a tripod-mounted Canon 5D with Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II lens at 120mm, f/8 and 1/250s.
