English: Paisley Abbey from the west on Abbey Close. On the left is Paisley Abbey. In he middle right is the Place of Paisley, which is the remains of the monastery. The red building in the distant right is the Anchor Mills. There are thirteen gargoyles along one side of the roof. In 1991, twelve of them were replaced as they had weathered away. The replacements include a set of see-no-evil, speak-no-evil and hear-no-evil characters, as well as a monster similar to the one from the film Alien.
Photographer's notes: I took this photograph with a Sony A33 camera and Tamron 17-50mm lens at 17mm, f8, iso 100, 1/250s. I made a series of 17 landscape frames in 3 rows and stitched them together with Hugin. The original image had a 180 degree angle of view with Panini projection -- this is a cropped version. I fixed some stitching errors by hand-blending some frames with Photoshop. I then used Lightroom to adjust overall levels.
