DescriptionPackard Super Clipper ca 1947 parked Schaffen-Diest 2012.jpg
Français : Packard Super Clipper de 1947 à Schaffen-Diest 2012
English: Packard Super Clipper 1947 in Belgium
Confirming the year of this Packard is challenging, as the 1946s and 1947s cars are virtually identical. However this appears to be a 1947 Packard Super Clipper. The easiest way to tell that it is a Super is simply the Super script on the hood just forward of the door jamb. And fortunately, for identification's sake, it has a two tone paint scheme. In 1946 the top color was applied to the window frames and the trunk. In 1947 the top color was applied only to the roof as we see here. With thanks to wiki contributor Sadwoski who knows these cars well.
I took this picture myself just near the eastern frontier of Belgian Brabant (or possibly the western frontier of Belgian Limburg) and hereby release it into the public domain to the full extent possible in relevant jurisdictions.
