Bahasa Indonesia: Tari Pagar Pengantin adalah tari tradisonal yang berasal dari Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Tari Pagar Pengantin biasanya ditampilkan pada acara resepsi pernikahan adat Palembang dan Sumatera Selatan pada umumnya. Tari Pagar Pengantin memiliki arti filosofis yang bermakna perpisahan pengantin perempuan kepada keluarganya yang lama dan memohon izin untuk membentuk keluarga yang baru. Tari Pagar Pengantin juga mempunyai fungsi sebagai tari penyambutan kepada seluruh tamu undangan yang hadir pada resepsi pernikahan tersebut. Tarian ini biasanya ditarikan oleh lima orang penari perempuan termasuk sang pengantin ( Sumber : Wikipedia Indonesia ) |
