Rough Bank, Gloucestershire.
An interesting day - I had joined the M5 motorway heading north, intending to visit the Stafforshire Moorlands, but the first overhead signs warned of long delays ahead. Turning round at the first junction I drove south to Gloucestershire where there are many good grassland sites. On arrival at my first site, net in hand, I had hardly started looking for moths and larvae when a 4 x 4 police vehicle came up the rough track and stopped alongside. They were concerned I might be in the area trying to catch the introduced Large Blue butterfly! I had to give my name and address and explain what I was doing. Talking about micro moths soon bored them to tears and they hurried on their way!
The moth above is my second Ochsenheimeria species in less than a week - just one more to see.
