Description Yanggakdo, an island on the Taedong river which bisects the city, is effectively a prison island of fun. There's the Yanggakdo Hotel, one of the largest working hotel in the city, the Yanggakdo Stadium, the International Friendship Cinema and a small golf course. Foreigners are allowed to roam aroud the island freely but they are not allowed to cross the bridge linking it to the rest of Pyongyang.
