The parameterization used was

${\displaystyle y=a(\sin u+{\sqrt {\sin ^{2}u+\beta }})\cos v}$

${\displaystyle z=a(\sin u+{\sqrt {\sin ^{2}u+\beta }})\sin v}$

with ${\displaystyle \beta =a^{2}/b^{2}}$ where ${\displaystyle a}$ and ${\displaystyle b}$ are parameters. The mean curvature is ${\displaystyle H=1/(2a)}$.
