Nederlands: Opheffing van het Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger (KNIL): ontbindingsceremonie te Djakarta in de ambtswoning van de Nederlandse Hoge Commissaris, dr. H. Hirschfeld op 26 juli 1950. Tevens een kranslegging (op 25 juli) op de militaire erebegraafplaats Menteng Pulo. SHOTS: 00:04 ONTBINDINGSCEREMONIE: aanwezig zijn oa de Indonesische minister-president Mohammad Hatta en andere vooraanstaande Indonesische politici, een afvaardiging van het KNIL, en hoge burgerlijke en militaire autoriteiten. Toespraak door de commandant van de Nederlandse legerstrijdkrachten in Indonesië, generaal D.C. Buurman van Vreeden (in het Nederlands en het Indonesisch), en Hirschfeld. De laatste deelt oa mede dat Buurman van Vreeden en generaal-majoor D.R.A. van Langen van het KNIL koninklijk worden onderscheiden. 02:46 KRANSLEGGING: ext. gebouwen; militairen staan in de houding of presenteren het geweer; Buurman van Vreeden legt een krans aan de voet van de vlaggemast; de aanwezigen maken een rondgang over het kerkhof; de militairen brengen de militaire groet bij het graf van generaal S.H. Spoor; cu's van enkele grafkruisen. |
