Summary

Description
English: The NR54 was a WW2 German prototype for a proposed portable 1-man helicopter. The specification was for it to have a 1 hour endurance and a range of 50km (31mile). It was powered by two small engines mounted on the rotor blades, but centrifugal forces made fuelling and lubrication difficult. This is one of four prototypes built and was used for ground tests but did not fly.
