Summary

Description

Fina'denne, pronounced (finá-denny), also called fina dene, is an all-purpose condiment used in Chamorro cuisine. Basic recipe calls for 1 part soy sauce to 1 part vinegar/lemon juice (some say 2 parts vinegar/lemon juice) and chopped onions, pepper optional.

Example:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar or juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup chopped green or white onions (or both!)
  • 3 small red peppers, crushed

Combine all ingredients and stir.

It can be spooned over food or used for dipping.
