File:Mp and bp of H2E (E=O,S,Se,Te,Po) Celsius vs atomic number.svg

Original file(SVG file, nominally 325 × 470 pixels, file size: 5 KB)

Summary

Description
English: Melting and boiling points in Celsius of hydrogen compounds (H2E; E=O, S, Se, Te, Po) of the elements in the oxygen group are plotted versus atomic number of the central element. Also the least square best fit (y=ax+b) lines for the melting (a=0.727; b= -93.56; correlation=0.968) and boiling (a=1.457; b=-86.327; corr:0.994) points (except water) are shown. If trend following water would melt at -88 centigrade and boil at -75.
