Summary

We had a group shoot at the Kincaid sand dunes in West Anchorage in July 2011. This may have been our best shoot of the season; absolutely great day, warm, sunny, no wind, excellent lighting, and incredible models - most of them were brand new to us. One of our shooters invited Morgan - I had no idea who she was but knew within about 0.03 seconds we would have a great shoot - even though I don't she ever did a photo shoot before. As you can tell, Morgan is incredibly photogenic - she oozes enthusiasm, wit, creativity, style, poise, and confidence - and she is absolute joy to shoot with. Hopefully this is the first of many shoots! Strobist info: I used two flash units, a Canon 580 EX II at 1/2 power and a Vivitar 285 HV at 1/4 power positioned at 45 degree angles from Morgan at a distance of 10-12 feet. I noticed some shadow on Morgan's face so I'll have to take her back out on the dunes - what a bummer! |
