The sternwheel of this vessel has been seriously damaged and is in a non-functional state. As a result, when this photograph was taken, the vessel would have been unable to move under its own power. This vessel is known to have been seriously damaged while under tow from the Stikine River to the mouth of the Yukon River in July 1898, but whether this is a photograph showing that damage is unknown. This steamer also worked on the Yukon River as far inland as Dawson, YT.
