Description Le grand minaret (1127) (Kalon = grand) est, dit-on, le seul édifice épargné par Gengis Khan et est donc l'un des bâtiments les plus anciens de Boukhara. Il fait 47 m de haut, ses fondations sont profondes de 10 m et posées sur des poutres de bois pour servir de joint antisismique.
