Space-filling model of a methyl azide molecule, CH3N3. The structure was determined by microwave spectroscopy and reported in N. Heineking, M. C. L. Gerry, Z. Naturforsch. A (1989) 44, 669–674. Similar structural parameters determined by gas electron diffraction are given in William M. Haynes (ed.), CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, 2016, (97th edition) p. 9–46.
