English: Memorial in memory of Trooper Frederick Allan Freshney. This is water pump erected by friends and family members of Frederick Allen Freshney, who went to South Africa, joined in the Boer War, was injured by a bullet from a Mauser rifle and the Battle of Colenso, 15 December, 1899, and subsequently died in Salfleet on May 20th, 1906.
