Summary

Description
English: BuNo 162829 as NF-104, an F/A-18A Hornet assigned to VFA-195 in 1991. This shows NF-104 at the Wings 1991 Airshow at NAF Atsugi, Japan, with the unusual marking of a Super Frelon Helicopter which had been equipped with Exocet. LCDR. Jeff S. Ashby (who was also the first F/A-18 pilot to use the Walleye II in combat), destroyed the Super Frelon with a Walleye I, allowing the US carriers to move up the gulf. Proof of this marking can be seen here (http://www.gonavy.jp/RJTA/bbs/1991U/img/21_1.jpg) and in the documentary "The Pursuit of Precision. AGM-62 Walleye The TV-Guided Glide Bomb"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPgVsz_TnkE).
