Black acrylic nails
Household problem solving primer
Opi matte top coat
So this was interesting. I wanted to put on black acrylic nails with white dots, but I don't own a white that's strong enough, they all lack the pigment required to make it pop.
I decided to improvise by digging out the pot of household 'problem solver' primer and holy cow! It worked!
I got them all shaped and cut back to how I wanted them first and then, after sticking them to upside down sellotape, same as with the other dotted nails, I used the head of a dressmaking pin and dipped it just slightly into the paint before transferring it to the nail. I left them on the heater to dry for an hour, just to be sure, then covered them with a single coat of Opi Matte.
After affixing them to my own nails (which I prepped with eveline 8-in-1 (applied first, one coat) and opi nail envy (over the eveline, one coat)), I covered them with another top coat of Opi Matte.
It's a lot of faffing for a set of nails but I do find it helps keep my fingers nimble, I can always do with the dexterity practice!
