English: The province of Asunción (one of the smallest in land area of the Department) is for the 20 provinces of Ancash, this is located in the heart of the central highlands of the Department, on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Blanca, in the Area of Conchucos, a distance of 121 km from the city of Huaraz (Capital of the department) and 521 km. In the city of Lima (capital of Peru) Chacas Its capital city is located about 3350 m, in the midst of extremely rugged terrain.
Bordered on the north by the Province of Yungay, east to the provinces of Carlos Fermín Fitzcarrald and Huari, south and west by the Province of Carhuaz
Español: La provincia de Asunción (una de las más pequeñas en extensión territorial del Departamento) forma para de las 20 provincias de Ancash; esta se localiza en pleno corazón de la sierra central del Departamento, en la vertiente oriental de la cordillera blanca, en la Zona de los Conchucos, a una distancia de 121 Km. De la ciudad de Huaraz (Capital del departamento) y a 521 km. De la ciudad de Lima (capital del Perú) Su ciudad capital Chacas, se ubica sobre los 3350 msnm, en medio de una orografía sumamente accidentada.
Limita al norte con la Provincia de Yungay, al este con las provincias de Carlos Fermín Fitzcarrald y Huari, al sur y al oeste con la Provincia de Carhuaz. |
