Summary

Description

The Mad River helps make Vermont’s Mad River Valley a scenic place to live and visit. Rivers and wetlands can become flooded during storms, threatening people and buildings nearby. Communities can use our Flood Resilience Checklist to reduce their vulnerability to floods by conserving land around rivers and helping farmers and other landowners implement flood resilience strategies.
