Summary

Description
English: A view looking north along the North Island Main Trunk Railway from the level crossing at Mackays Crossing. This section of the line was in the process of being duplicated to the Waikanae River (the new track at left); from 1983 to 2011, duplication ended at Mackays Crossing. In the distance is the State Highway 1 overpass; it formerly used the road visible to the left of the railway line.
