Summary

Description
English: Monrovia is one of the few ocean vessels that sank in Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Built in Scotland in 1943, it had only 16 years on the water. On a foggy day in 1959, a cargo ship rammed Monrovia, sinking her. Today the wreck is still largely intact except for the collision damage. To see more images of Monrovia and a short video of its wreck today, visit Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
