The image is being used in the wikipedia artciel on Joe Louis to illustrate the discussion of Louis' post-retirement life and friendship with Max Schmeling. The subjects of the photograph are now deceased, and the time period of the photograph is passed, which prohibits the creation of an alternate image releaseable into the public domain. No known free image is available that represents Louis and Schmeling in later years. The image is reproduced in resolution format lower than the original.
