English: Louis-François de Livet (ca. 1720-1793/94), chevalier, Marquis de Barville, Lieutenant of the Marshals of France, Seigneur and Patron of La Poterie-Mathieu, Caudecotte and Bazoques, among others, married to Anne-Charlotte-Gabrielle de Giverville. Louis-François de Livet was a notaire at Lisieux. Both his younger sons (Marc Louis-Charles de Livet and Alexandre-Marie-Armand de Livet) served in the royalist Regiment of Flanders during the French Revolution. His eldest son, François-Louis-Charles de Livet, born in 1766 and married to Marie Sophie Agnès de Beaunay, inherited his father's title and succeeded him as Marquis de Barville. Francois-Louis-Charles de Livet was the last Seigneur and Patron of La Poterie-Mathieu, which the de Livet family had held since the 14th century through marriage with a Martel heiress. He died in 1830.
