English: Down freight on the WCML near Loughton Siding Box.
[ (Ed: near Denbigh Hall North Junction?] View SE, to where Milton Keynes Central Station is now located (!), Bletchley and London; ex-London & North Western West Coast Main Line. This was a fairly typical Class H freight of those days, running on the Down Slow and headed by ex-LNW 0-8-0, Class G2a No. 49002. The main (I was walking the line between Bletchley and Wolverton, with a Track Photography Permit - see SP8535 : Up Cup Final Special on the WCML north of Bletchley. Comparison with the present-day map shows that this is within spitting distance of the north end of Milton Keynes Station, i.e. in the middle of the New Town...
