English: Taken from northbound Amtrak train coming into Richmond. This was originally the statue for the Richmond Braves Baseball Team. When the Flying Squirrels Basball Team moved in, the statue was moved in 2010 to the 4 th floor of an old Richmond tobacco factory. It is an impressive sight from the train. His name is"Connecticut". Located near the James River which has been referred to as the "Indians' superhighway"
Train window sights vs plane window sights. If not for traveling by Amtrak I would never have seen this statue. There are 3 pics, a view from afar, a closeup, and a shot with "Connecticut" and the Lucky Strike Tower.
I love train travel and always take the train from Newport News to Baltimore when visiting family. Then comes the long plane ride from Baltimore to Fairbanks!
