The left side of the photograph shows the Shubert Theater in the Union Electric Building, as well as several neighboring buildings. Fir trees can be seen behind a row of parked cars in front of the theater. Power lines criss-cross the center of the image.
For a detail taken from this image, see P0054-00002. A typed note on the back of the P0054-00002 print reads: "North in Twelfth Blbd. at Locust street. Old Shubert Theatre was in the Union Electric Building, prior to addition of five upper stores. Show was a farce, "A Pair of Sixes and a Torn Queen." Early 1920s." Below this, a note in pencil reads: " 'A Pair of Sixes' played at the Schubert in 1915."
