Summary

Description
English: This diagram shows how a sheet or slit of light is used to capture the image of a moving object on a motorized stage. As long as the slit of light is narrower than the effective DOF the image will remain sharp in detail throughout. This analog technique uses a film camera and three projectors to create a thin slit of light that is used to capture the image of the object as it moves perpendicular through the light sheet.
