Title
left hand of Roman statue
Description
English: Roman copper alloy bird shaped terminal. The bird which appears to be an Eagle is standing on a globe. It has a raised head and a puffed out chest with its wings behind it. The head is simply portrayed and has a pointed beek. The wings have a heart shaped form and are decorated with feather like lines, straight incised lines with diagonally placed ones in between. Below the globe on which the bird is standing are the remains of a shaft, which points to this being a decorative terminal.
