English: This layout in the September 10, 1909, issue of the ‘’St. Louis Post-Dispatch’’ features a photograph of Raymond Robins,. At top right is a photo of a horse-drawn float in a Labor Day parade that week, sponsored by the Women’s Trade Union, with seven white-garbed women on the float, which bears the slogan “An Injury to One is the Concern of All.” At bottom Marguerite Martyn has drawn the figures of five women representing housewives, society leaders, prohibitionists, and students. One holds up a sign reading “6,000,000 women wage earners.” Uncle Sam looks on from the right. There is a headline over the illustration.
