Summary edit
Description |
Colorized postcard picture of Luna Park, Scranton designated as the Phase 1 area by Frederick Ingersoll during park planning. Original photo probably taken in B&W by Ebert in 1906. Pond quickly filled with black silt and coal waste due to upstream coal mining operations. Resulted in law suit by city of Scranton against multiple mine operators.
