THE LIBERATION OF BERGEN-BELSEN CONCENTRATION CAMP, APRIL 1945

English: [1945 painting]: View from one end of a huge mass-grave containing the emaciated remains of Belsen inmates. SS guards, guarded by British soldiers, are throwing more bodies into the pit. Part of the Belsen compound can be seen in the background. Of the 60,000 inmates found, 14,000 died in the first week.
Deutsch: [1945 Malerei]: Dies ist eine Ansicht von einem Ende einer großen Massengrab mit den Überresten abgemagert Belsen Insassen. SS-Wachen, bewacht von britischen Soldaten, die werfen mehrere Stellen in die Grube. Ein Teil der KZ-Belsen kann man im Hintergrund gesehen werden. Von den 60.000 Insassen gefunden, fast 14.000 starben während der ersten Woche.
