Original file(3,272 × 2,080 pixels, file size: 2.28 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description

Postcard photograph of the King's Hall, Herne Bay, Kent, England. It was opened in 1904 and called the Pavilion or Bandstand before it was extended underground and re-named in 1913.

This card is postally unused, but it is labelled the Band Stand, which dates it to before 1913.

Points of interest
  • The bandstand no longer exists on top of the King's Hall
  • The cars may indicate some high-class or rich holidaymakers, probably from London.
