English: Say hello to Kinchbus's most recent arrival! Optare Versa 822 was new to Trentbarton in 2012 for the threes service between Nottingham and Mansfield, being allocated to their depot in Sutton-in-Ashfield. After the Versas were displaced by ADL Enviro200MMCs last year, 822 has been repainted into Kinchbus's livery to replace withdrawn Mercedes-Benz Citaro 905.
Today was its first day in service, which it spent on the service 2 between Loughborough and Sileby until mid-afternoon when it reportedly left service due to a faulty ticket machine.
Kinchbus's fifth Optare Versa, it has some features that are distinct from the other four transferred to Kinchbus back in 2020. (Was it that long ago?) It is the only one that does not carry branding for the services 11/12, being a spare instead. I suppose it's about time given how frequently Versas crop up on Kinchbus's publicity material these days. Secondly, as the only 12-plate Versa, it is most similar to 11-plate Versa 801, although the rear end seems slightly shorter than 801's despite having the same taillamps. I'm pretty sure 822 is also the only one with the silver strip on the rear end. 822 also only has yellow destination blinds instead of white/multicoloured blinds like the other Versas.
822 is seen on Baxter Gate in Loughborough waiting to leave for Sileby with the next departure of the service 2.
