Description
English: Kanehri caves are ancient Buddhist rock-cut architecture are unique for their sophisticated water management system. The system contains Rock-cut Cisterns, Aqueducts and Channels, Water Filtration. These systems conserves water from Rainwater Harvesting and Natural Springs.

The system create a self-sustaining environment within the caves despite being located in a semi-arid region prone to seasonal variations in water availability. Kanehri caves are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves ( 1 to 10 CE) located at Mumbai India. Ref:
