English: Kalad Gadh situated Taluka Akole, Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. The nearby base village is Pethechi Wadi, next to Pachnai Village (Nothe side base Village of Harishandra Gadh). Fort is mainly used to control of Sadhale ghat and nearby area. The route of a fort is from east saddle which is 5Km From Pachnai Village and before 2Km of Pethechi Wadi village. You will see a Round shape Shelter constructed by Forest Department, the backside of this route start. You must have experience trekker in your group as the route has rocky steps. Best time to Visit fort is from November to March. Once you reach to Bhiroba temple on top, start waking west side keeping small fort of a top on your right side and travel towards west, here you will get water tanks and one more temple. from this side, you can climb on small fort top. you will see house plinths over here. From the top of this Fort at the north-east side, you can see Range of Forts like Ajoba, Katrubai Peak, Ratan Gadh, Ghanchakkar and Bhiarav Gadh of Shirpunje. At South-East side you can see various forts like Nane Ghat (thumb Shap), Bhairav Ghad of Moroshi, Jivdhan fort, Nimgiri and Harischandra gadh. |
