English: Tel Nof AFB Commander Brig. Gen. Oded Cohen held a commemorative ceremony on base attended by the German Defense Attaché, Col. Dr. Juergen Haffner.
The German Ministry of Defense awards this medal to those who deserve recognition for their work with Germany. The decoration comes in three grades - bronze, silver and gold, with Lt. Col. Y. being awarded the silver medal. Since the establishment of the State of Israel, the decoration has been awarded to Lt. Col.
