Subject died over 30 years ago. Extensive search on web revealed only two images of Mr. Tunis. Similar image files derived from the same photograph are used to identify Mr. Tunis in several websites.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) Image will be used only in the biography of John R. Tunis. Image is small, relatively poor quality thumbnail size but the best found on the web. No higher resolution photograph is available.

Subject died over 30 years ago. Web search for information about Mr. Tunis found little written about him other than the updated bio in Wikipedia although his books are being reprinted for a new generation. He is not currently nor likely to become of significant public interest except in a historical background. The small black and white thumbnail will not decrease the value of an original photograph.
