Français : Plaque en mémoire de John Hepburn, cathédrale de Toul. "À la mémoire de Sir John Hepburn maréchal-de-camp tué au feu au siege de Saverne et enterré en ce lieu. Son régiment, après avoir appartenu à l'armée de France de 1633 à 1673, devint le 1er regiment de ligne de l'armée britannique sous le titre de "The Royal Regiment" et ensuite de "The Royal Scots". Au cours de la grande guerre de 1914-1918 le régiment a de nouveau combattu aux côtés de l'armée française. Fiers de cette glorieuse camaraderie "The Royal Scots" ont respectueusement consacré en l'an 1921 cette inscription au souvenir du colonel Hepburn pour remplacer le monument que lui avait élevé au meme lieu le roi Louis XIII. Requiescat in pace."
