I thought the theme of the morning was about men, and Julio kicked it off! And he was absolutely right that this is a conversation that is about all of us. It's not just about women. It's about what men as well as women can do to close that gender gap, and to empower women, to see more women in the workplace, more women in leadership, more development of women. And to do that we need men as well as women.

What other themes do you see emerging at Davos this year?

There’s a lot of sessions about some extremely important issues about our world political climate. Where are we going? How is the rest of the world viewing the United States? certainly is a very, very major issue here. There is a lot of focus on cyber and cyber issues, and on sort of the next generation of technology: where are we going with augmented reality? What's happening with virtual reality? is that over now? are we moving on to the next thing? Really it's all about digital transformation because every company, everywhere, is grappling with the issue of where do we go next? How do we develop our workforce? And what does the digital future mean for us and for our Kids?

Tell us about your book.

So my book is called That's What She Said. What Men Need to Know and Women Need To Tell Them About Working Together. And it was inspired because I had three decade career in journalism working primarily with men, writing about men. My mentors were men. There's a lot of men out there who are great guys, but who Don't know about the issues that women face. And women talk amongst ourselves all the time about these issues and in fact, the reason there's been this outcry about sexual harassment isn't because every woman has been sexually assaulted at work, but it is because every woman knows what it's like to be marginalized, or underestimated, interrupted. And Women talk amongst each other, But they don't talk to men about these issues.

So the point of the book is Let's bring men into that conversation and for the book I interviewed dozens, hundreds of people, largely men, who were doing what they can to reach across the gender gap, So that we can close the gap together and also provide of an action oriented strategy for men to join that conversation and close the gap. Our deep expertise, powerful insights, and real-world solutions help the people and organizations we serve take steps today to secure a better tomorrow.
