English: This is the Jeffrey Pine made famous by a photograph taken by Ansel Adams in 1940. The pine died in 1976 but remained standing until 2003. The smaller branches have fallen, leaving only the trunk and some of the larger branches. Sentinel Dome, Yosemite National Park, California.
