English: Ion engine #1 being installed in the High Vacuum Tank in the Electric Propulsion Research Building - EPRB. This facility is located at the Lewis Research Center, now John H. Glenn Research Center in Cleveland Ohio. This device is the early predecessor of the power system that is sending Deep Space 1 to explore the solar system.
