DescriptionIllustration of God Showing the Leviathan to Job.jpg
English: This is a pencil illustration by Spencer Alexander McDaniel of a scene from the Book of Job, chapter 41, in which God describes the Leviathan, a monstrous sea creature, to Job. For this drawing, the artist took some creative liberties and imagined God actually showing Job the Leviathan through a vision.
The artist originally drew this picture in around 2015 or 2016 when he was in high school, but he revised it in April 2020, adding some more shading to make the picture more realistic and a bit less cartoonish. He drew some inspiration for Job's appearance and posture from this illustration for the Book of Job, chapter 19, from Sweet Media, which is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0. Nonetheless, it should be obvious from a comparison of the two images that he made quite a few substantial changes.
